About Us

Affiliated with the Sakarya University Rectorate, the School of Business was established in 2010. There are 5 departments under our school: Business Administration (Turkish-English), Human Resources Management, International Trade and Finance, Health Administration and Management Information Systems. Language of education is Turkish in all departments, except for the undergraduate program of Business Administration instructed in English.  English preparation school is also available for the students. In addition, our students who wish to improve their language skills can take various compulsory and elective courses in English.

Our students receive an education in a way that they can acquire effective business skills with the help of our expert and competent faculties in their fields. Our school takes great care to ensure that the students are prepared for competition both at the national and international levels and gain the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge in their fields. With this motivation, we offer compulsory and elective courses that are designed to equip the students with the general business notion in light of the recent scientific and technological developments. The curriculums of our undergraduate and graduate programs are designed based on scientific and universal criteria and are being constantly updated in accordance with the most recent developments. In most departments, there is a mandatory “one-term internship” that allows the students to practice and prepare for professional life.  Through technical visits, conferences, symposiums, and seminars, our students meet professionals and benefit from their business experiences and insights.

Our students are given the opportunity to participate in domestic and foreign educational mobility with Erasmus, Farabi, and Mevlana exchange programs to be able to study at other universities for one or two semesters. Our students who wish can also benefit from opportunities for foreign education and internship mobility.

At the end of 2013, our school was affiliated with AACSB (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) within the accreditation process. AACSB provides quality assurance, business education intelligence, and learning and development services to over 1,700 member organizations and more than 840 accredited business schools worldwide. Our school plans to complete the accreditation process by the end of 2021. In October 2022, the Sakarya Business School and the Graduate School of Business were accredited by AACSB International at undergraduate and graduate levels with all their programs.

To provide personal development, our students can develop themselves through cultural and artistic activities in non-field elective courses. In addition to this, students are allowed to participate in social, cultural, and sports activities through student clubs.
