The “METAHack Sustainathon 2025,” organized by the Sustainable Development and Twin Transformation Application and Research Center (SURKAM) and the Technology and Transfer Office (TTO), will be held at the Istanbul Medipol University Kavacık North Campus Technology Transfer Office on December 13-14, 2025.

METAHack Sustainathon 2025 is an idea marathon where undergraduate and graduate students develop concrete solutions in multidisciplinary teams over 24 hours, focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. During this marathon, participants will: Through sustainability agenda training, business model (lean canvas) training, effective presentation training, mobile mentoring sessions, and group work, teams will develop solutions to a problem identified by the event's main sponsor, Akfen Renewable Energy Inc., and improve their projects accordingly. Teams will present their developed projects to the jury in a 5-slide/5-minute presentation format, and the evaluation will be based on these presentations.
